Waking up abit depressed knowing I would be missing all the action at WK (I will make it one day) but with the wind offshore here just got on with it and had a good day with the kids we look after :) Then at four I get a call from Paul Smith saying he was at Levington with the wind gusting to 25 kts only trouble was the tide was low and you had to walk through 250m of foot deep mud :( Still I was game for a laugh and was on the water just before 5 with my 5.8 as my 6.4 is being repaired !!! As usual with a river location the wind was gusty but if you were lucky you could plan the mile and a half to Felixstowe docks (shut because of high winds) It was great to be out in the sunshine again shortie on and I was convinced I had made 30 kts but just missed it !!! but bettered my local time by a knot and in the end 4 sailers braved the mud.Sadly as the tide turned and the water really flattened off the wind dropped !!!
Well done to all who had a great day at WK and hope you get more tomorrow :) and I bet you did'nt have to walk through 250m of mud to get to the water - lol
